bulletHIGHLAND GAMES start at 11:00; ongoing throughout the day with an awards ceremony at the finish.

bulletCHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES

Children's Highland Games  Children may participate in any (or all) of 5 different games:
1. Stone Throw
2. Toss the Haggis
3. Caberette Toss
4. Sheep Riever (Champion Sheep Thief)
5. Sheep Droppings Relay (malted milk balls will be used, instead of the "real thing"!)

Children Highland Games Times
1:45 p.m. - ages 5 and under
2:30 p.m. - ages 6 - 9
3:15 p.m. - ages 10 and up

Children's Passports - Passports may be picked up at the Information Tent.  Children then visit, & get their passports signed or stamped, by clan representatives, pipers, Highland dancers, and other participants at the festival, learning about Scottish culture as they go.  Once filled up the passport is turned in for a prize at the School House.

Schoolhouse - For children needing some "quiet time", Scottish coloring pages will be available at the Schoolhouse.

William O'Wickam - Our storyteller will wander the grounds telling tales to the children (and adults)

 

bulletCLAN ALLEY - Visit with Clan representatives and learn about the clan system, Scottish history and genealogy.

bulletVENDORS – A dozen or more British, Scottish and Celtic Vendors with wares ranging from jewelry and food, to t-shirts and tartan wear.

bulletSCOTTISH FOOD -The HAGGIS Kitchen & the Scottish Tea Tent serve up delicious ethnic food, tea and goodies.

bulletWEAVING WITH GRACE - Grace will have a loom set up on the grounds for anyone to try out weaving.

bulletHISTORIC BUILDINGS - Visit the many historic buildings that make up Ushers Ferry Historic Village

AFTER THE EVENT

Following the close of the festival, a Ceilidh will be held for CelticFest participants at
