Anne Burns
1952-2004

Our own Anne

Ye aye were leal and true Anne
Your task is ended noo Anne
And angels wait on you
In the Land of the Leal

There's nae sorrow there Anne
There's neither cauld nor care Anne
The day is aye fair
In the Land O' the Leal.

Our singing, joyful, laughing, always thinking and planning, enthusiastic, red-haired Annie, our leader for so long ....  We loved her dearly and our HAGGIS family will miss her so.  She was an irreplaceable treasure to us all.  Farewell our own dear Lass!

Anne Burns, past Vice-President and President of the Hawkeye Area Grand Gaelic Isles Society led us through many years of organizing our autumn CelticFests and January Robert Burns Suppers as well as many other events.  She was the center of our group, a friend in a million.
