CELTICFEST 2011 VOLUNTEER NEEDS LIST

Folks, at this point, we still have the following needs for the 'Fest. Please contact Brenda McDole (email on website at www.haggis-iowa.com) if you can help. Even an hour is a great boon to the cause!
===============

First Aid: We haven't had much response here. We need people to be on the grounds and relatively easy to locate, preferably with their own supplies. A certification in first aid or as an EMT or nurse or such is preferred, but not required. If you have worked these sorts of events before, you know that the day will consist of long periods of boredom punctuated by occasional panic. We need at least two people -- with four, we can work shifts. Your MC can cover part of this, and others on site can help, but we need someone dedicated to the job to handle smaller stuff.

Publicity: There is a link on the page that brought you here to a PDF of the official poster. PLEASE print it and put it up at work, school, church, or anywhere you are allowed to do so.

Volunteers (not covered elsewhere):Still need 3 for Children’s Activities, 9 for parking (THIS IS IMPORTANT), 4 for ticket booth, 3 for information booth, 5 for sanitation (THIS IS ALSO IMPORTANT, and not as yucky as you'd think. You really only have to check the portapotties for supplies or problems), 5 for volunteer tent. We're asking only for two hours per person, but if you want to volunteer more, we won't turn you away.

NewBo and Quad Cities: We will have booths at these venues to promote our new venue. NewBo (New Bohemia, 3rd St SW area) will be over the Labor Day Weekend and the Quad Cities Games will be on Saturday, Sept. 17th. Anyone wishing to join us is heartily welcome.
